Las Vegas to Los Angeles
The strip at night. To the right is City Center which is a new development funded in part by the Sheik’s of Dubai. It includes a condo high rise and a mall catering to the super rich.

It was cool how you could see the mountains surrounding the city.

The mall inside Planet Hollywood had a really impressive ceiling that was painted to look like the sky.

X-Scream. This ride wasn’t as scary as I anticipated. It was actually quite fun, except it was way too short.

We didn’t get to ride this on account of the wind that day.
Stratosphere - World’s tallest thrill ride.

The fountains at the Bellagio.
Cruising through the Mojave -LA here we come!
Driving through the desert was actually quite unique because it felt like I was on a plane. Upon looking out the window, the terrain looked like a vast flat terrain of nothingness. Strangely my ears would periodically start popping, and Steve would complain about his fuel economy as the RPMs climbed despite riding on cruise control. I eventually saw signs stating elevation changes from 2000 to 4000 feet above sea level.
The shrubbery on Rodeo Drive was really cool. I liked how everything was so big yet still so clean and well kept.
I didn’t get many shots while in LA, but I did want to note that Cali has some of the most unique foliage I’ve seen before. The palm trees there are nothing like Florida’s; they’re all so tall and thin like super models haha. I wish I had gotten a shot of the silhouette the trees cast during sunset. They looked especially cool because there were just so many.
